He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucius Burleigh and Bathilde Burleigh (late Ruby McMurrain Burleigh); his child Hurschel J. Burleigh, Jr. (late Barbara); his grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Luke and Tracie (late Jason); and his sibling Emery Burleigh (Davie Lou).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Orgeron (James), Richard F. Burleigh (Kay), Sinie Marie LaCour (Bob) and Leigh Ann Smith (Wes); his grandchildren, Cathy (Larry), Belenda, Michael, Derek, Tara (Gerald), Darren (Emily), Steven, Andrew (Jessica), Melissa (Mike), Alex, Matthew and Caitlin; and his siblings, Doris Broussard (late Roland), Audrey Burleigh (late Helen), Genella Dawson (late Melvin) and Larrol Burleigh (Eleanor). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and many more family and friends.
