He is survived by: his wife Oleta Smith Verdin; his children, Ronald Verdin, Ellis Verdin, Jr. (late Mary), Gerald Verdin, Jane Barrios, Wayne Verdin, Linda Wait (Gary), David Verdin (Lupe), Daniel Verdin (Angela) and Glenn Verdin (Shellie); and his siblings, Rufus "Bobby" Gaubert (Bobbi), Elsie G. Theriot (late Ernest) and Lois G. Landreneaux (late Clarence). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
