Sophie Ann Bonin Reese Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sophie Ann Bonin Reese of Loreauville, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 23, 2025 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her pet Coco; her father Albert Joseph Bonin; and her toy poodle Coco. She is survived by: her pet Cindel; her husband Eric Reese; her sons, Cody Theriot and Chase Bonin; her mother Dolores Pelous Bonin; her niece Jackie Bonin; her brothers, Jared Bonin (Michelle) and Jason Bonin (Lorraine); her great-nephews, Louis and Kaius; and her great-niece Audrey. She is also survived by her family, friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the David Funeral Home (118 S Main St, Loreauville, LA 70552). A rosary was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the All Saints Cemetery.

“To Deloris and the rest of Sophie’s family…my heart broke when I heard of Sophie’s passing! The first thing I thought of is that she and my sister, Punkin, are together again! They both had such unique and profound laughs…I can hear them laughing in Heaven, as they meet again. I have many fond memories of Sophie growing up, as she spent a lot of time in our home. I am sorry that I wasn’t able to attend her services or funeral. Sophie was a special and unique woman…she always made me laugh!”
