It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ransom Mitchell of Loreauville, Louisiana, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Mitchell; her parents, John Junius Ransom and Cecile Broussard Ransom; and her siblings, Virginia R. Julien, Wallace Ransom, Sr. and Baby Boy Ransom.
She is survived by: her children, Cecile Mitchell of Loreauville, LA, Ella Louise Broussard, Stepheny Mitchell Jones (Louis) of Port Allen, LA, Chanley Mitchell, Sr. (Deborah) and Louis. She is also survived by twenty six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Home at 7:30 A. M. - 9:30 A. M. with a rosary to be recited at 8:30 A. M. All attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing at the funeral home, church and cemetery in adherence to the CDC/local regulations.
