She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Joseph Mitchell, Sr.; her parents, Amos Anthony, Sr. and Harriet Broussard Anthony; and her siblings, Wilfred, Bernard, Whitney, Amos Anthony, Jr., Alvin Broussard, Alma Vital and Althea Jefferson.
She is survived by: her children, Herman Joseph Mitchell, Jr. of Loreauville, LA, Floyd Mitchell (Roslyn) of Lake Charles, LA, Gregory Mitchell (Faith) of Lafayette, LA and Sandra M. George (Jimmy) of Loreauville, LA; her sister Agnes Theodile of Lake Charles, LA; her daughter-in-law Mary Elaine Mitchell; her grandchildren, Shadell Price (Emick), Jamathon George, Shayla George, Harley Mitchell, Maverick Mitchell, Terrance and Christopher Spiller; and her godchildren, Carolyn Anderson, Roland Anthony, Rosie Sanders and Laura Ann Babin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
COVID-19: In an effort to comply with the CDC recommendations to cancel/postpone events with 10 or more people, and state officials imploring people to stay home and limit social interaction, the graveside service for Mrs. Aline Anthony Mitchell will be held privately and attendance limited to 10 persons or less.
