He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Blanche A. Traylor-Ryan; his children, Yvette B. Brooks (Charlie), Terry Brumfield (Lisa) and Charles "Chad" Brumfield (Tina); his siblings, Thomas "Tommy" Brumfield, Virginia "Ginger" Pirritano and Georgiana "Georgie" Forrest (Vernon); his wife Brenda S. Brumfield; and his father John D. Brumfield. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family.
