He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Horner Burnthorne; his parents, Luke Burnthorne and Mary Ann Reid Burnthorne; and his siblings, Gladys, Wilmer, Pete, Mearl, Albert, Alice and Jay (J. D.).
He is survived by: his son David Burnthorne; his daughter-in-law Denise Russo Burnthorne; his son Brian Burnthorne; his grandchildren, Brennen Burnthorne, Brianna Burnthorne, Dustin Burnthorne, Dylan Burnthorne, Briley Burnthorne, Brian Burnthorne Jr. and Luke Burnthorne; his brother Louis; and his sister-in-law Betty Burnthorne.
Donations may be made in Lukes honor to First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hammond, and New Sharon Baptist Church in Husser.
