He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Alvin Nichols and Allie Vera Baker Nichols; his daughter Pennie; and his siblings, Reba Myrtle Nichols Chanler, Dorothy Marie Nichols Lake, Betty Lynn Nichols Renfro, Hannah Sue Nichols Hicks, Jerry Neal Nichols, Pat Bailey Nichols, Nancy Beth Nichols, Ronnie William Nichols, Joe Dale Nichols, Barbara Kay Nichols, Larry Dee Nichols and Mitzi Caroline Nichols Wallace.
He is survived by: his sister Wanda Lee Nichols Dejarnett; and his daughters, Frankie and Debra Joyce Nichols Plummer. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews; and adopted children and friends.
