She was predeceased by: her parents, Rella Chreene and Lee Odis Chreene; her husband Carl McMellon; her grandsons, James Clyde Austin, Jr. and Danny McMellon, Jr.; her great grandchild Bryce Norwood; her son-in-law James Clyde Austin, Sr.; and her brother A. D. Chreene.
She is survived by: her children, Danny McMellon (Connie), Tommy McMellon, Terry McMellon (Angie), Kenneth McMellon (Tammy), Patricia Ann "Patty" Austin and Joyce McMellon (Robert); and her sister Laura Snead (Don). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren.
