She was predeceased by: her husband Hampton Joseph Ledet; her parents, Thomas Valery and Angele Marie Knight Chiasson; her grandson David H. Ledet; and her siblings, Eddy Chiasson, Bessie Toups and Ester Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Robert A. Ledet (Donna), Richard T. Ledet (Terre), Angela L. Corbin (John C.) and Annette L. Foster (William); and her grandchildren, Dwight Ledet, Jason C. Corbin, Kelly C. Kumar, Jennifer Corbin-Johnson, Charles "Mac" Corbin, Kate C. Stewart, Jared Ledet, Benjamin Ledet, Aimee F. Porche and Alyce Foster. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Novella Ledet's name.
