He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Lawrence Hicks, Sr. and Ethel Smith Hicks; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Hicks Osborne (Bette). He is survived by: his children, Ted (Margo Hicks), Ben (Flori Hicks), John (Carol Hicks), Paul (Lori Hicks), Tim (Trish Hicks), Andy Hicks (Cheryl Hartman) and Mary Hicks (Scott Smith); his grandchildren, Devon Hicks (Cassie), Olivia Hicks (Emerson Hunt), Lonnie Hicks (Emilie Young), Benjamin Hicks (Kristin Rowlett), Phillip Hicks, Anjian, Esther Hicks, Troy, Mason, Eva Hicks, Zack, Becca Hicks and Angie Smith; and his great grandchildren, Bernadette Sydney Hicks and Arlo Gregory Hicks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
