He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Adams and Beatrice Sevin Adams; his wife Hilda Susan Gibbons Adams (Sue); his children, Kathleen Adams Baudoin, Phyllis Adams Yarbrough and Rockwell Ralph Adams; his grandchildren, Louis Willis Arceneaux III and Laurie Baudoin Arcement; his great grandchild Fiona Nadine Stokes; and his siblings, Randolph, Russell, Patrick, Leroy, Stanley Adams, Grace Daigle, Inez Adams, Joyce Kasmiski and Hazel Maines.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Adams Melancon (Ivy), Nancy Adams Stokes (Tobey), Dale Adams Comeaux (Bruce) and Dan Adams (Ernestina); and his sisters, Verna Mae Baudoin and Elizabeth Arabie. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
