He was predeceased by: his parents, Gage Ricks and Alma Ricks; his significant other Wanda Jean Arnold Ricks; his siblings, Gage Ricks, Joseph Ricks, Louise Beysselance, Mary Bergeron and Margie Simmons; and his son-in-law Anthony Frederic (AJ).
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Ricks Frederic (Randy), Keith Ricks (Kim), Barry Ricks (Joy) and Bradley Ricks (Kim); his half-sister Lillian Taylor; his stepbrother Alton Westmoreland; and his grandchildren, Shelley Ricks Graham, Kamie Ricks Sanchez, Gerren Babin, Brandon Babin, Tiffany Moulard, Travis Ricks, Darren Ricks, Brittany Ricks Henderson, Kaylee Ricks Morris and Christopher Ensminger. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
