It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Hughes Burge (Livingston, Louisiana), who passed away on March 4, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Jack P. Burge; her sons-in-law, Michael Adams and Roland Smith; and her grandson Matthew Hughes. She is survived by: her child Barbara Burge Smith; her grandchildren, Mindy Smith Jones (Steve), Laura Adams Fuson (Randy), Ryan Smith (Sonya), Andrew Hughes (Nicole) and Tiffany Burge Bigner (Trent); her brother Gerald Hughes (Mary); and her close friend Danette Broussard. She is also survived by numerous other friends and relatives.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Red Oak Baptist Church.
