We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 67, Debra Sue of Leroy, Louisiana, born in Ville Platte, Louisiana passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Fontenot and Runie Vidrine Fontenot; her siblings, Hubert "Brud" Fontenot Jr. and Connie Fontenot May; her son Jonathan Ponthier; and her cousins, Joel Sylvester Guillory and Lionel Fontenot.
She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Pere; her children, Allison Donner (Michael) of Maurice, Ryan Pere' (Ashley) of Maurice and Jennifer Webb (James) of Maurice; her pets, Blue and Kenzie; her grandchildren, Luke Pere', Adilynn Donner, Eli Pere', Aubrey Donner and Ann-Marie Pere; her siblings, Brunella Reed (Clyde) of Rayne and Larry May (Connie) of Duson; her godchildren, Alison Reed May (Benjamin) and Brady May (Crystal); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Courtney Curtis, Nathan May, Megan Chaisson, Sage Reed, Landon Reed, Olivia May and Reese Easterling; her cousin Bernita Hull; and also Shannon May.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Downtown Convention Center (124 S Buchanan St, Lafayette, LA 70501). Debra and Ronnie enjoyed witnessing in unassigned territories, they also got great joy in hosting for hospitality and delivering food provisions to the friends for disaster relief from hurricanes and Covid.
