It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Suzanne Maxwell (Lena, Louisiana), born in Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on July 20, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband J. D. Maxwell; her sisters, Ruth Beasley and Mamie Bell; her parents, Edgar Sholars and Wilma Sholars; and her grandchildren, Samantha Dickey and Brandon Dickey.
She is survived by: her children, Lauren Spillers (Robert), Mike Frantom (Leslie), Nancy Payton (Mike), James Maxwell (Janita) and Doug Maxwell (Luanne); her brother Norman; her grandsons, Spencer Maxwell, Ryan Frantom, Jason Hill, Justin Hill and Trey Barber; and her great grandchild Logan Mack. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild.
