She was predeceased by: her former husband Carlton Leo Basco; her daughter Tammye Denise Basco; her parents, Paul Bernard Boeneke and Marie Henrietta Schech Boeneke (Nettie); and her stepdaughter Melody Ann Rachal Lefeat.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon Rachal of Leesville, LA; her children, Jason Leo Basco of Lena, LA, Candace Basco Alamilla (Eddie) of Reston, VA, Dawn Basco Martin (David) of Gorum, LA and Paulette Basco Smoot (Raymond) of Jasper, AR; her grandchildren, Amber Martin Beaudoin (Travis), Brianna Martin Carter (Kevin), Cara Martin, David Alexander Martin (Viktoria), Michael Alamilla, Carlton Smoot, Everett Smoot, Tiffany Smoot, Jaden Basco (Danielle), Kirsten Basco, Jaden Stage Basco and Jason Dean Basco; her great grandchildren, Corlin, Aedan, Kenna Carter, Alessandra Martin (Allie), Amelia, Leon Basco, Bradley, Kaleb Martin and Asher Beaudoin; her brother Paul Boeneke of Harahan, LA; her aunt Ruth Iris Dickens of Bush, LA; her cousin Ray Gautreaux of Mandeville, LA; her stepdaughter Melonie Griffis (Lewis) of Sharp, LA; her stepgrandchildren, Heather Page and Joseph DeSoto Jr.; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Haylee, Joseph III, Dominic, Nevaeh, Rodriquez and Ra'Keem.
In order to continue helping others, she asked that donations be made in her memory to a dementia organization of choice for further research and to find a cure.
