He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie R. Evans and Gladys M. Evans (Windham); his brothers, Donnald Evans and Leo Evans; and his son Leonard Evans.
He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Grace Ford; his wife Bobbie; his siblings, Lavelle Evans, Lonnie Jr. (Rhonda Evans) and Shirley (Lavon Ainsworth); his children, Jimmie Jr. (Rebecca Evans), Felisha Alcala and Edgar (Alycia Evans); and his grandchildren, Gary, Lewis, Miah, Mikey, Dianna, Rebecca Grace, Brittanie and Blair Shae.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery fund or Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
