He was predeceased by: his wives, Ethel Sue Carr Massey and Susan Heneke Massey; his daughters, Frieda Sue Owen, Deborha Jo Leslie and Sherry Marie Cabra; his parents, Ethel Norsworthy Massey and Middleton "Mid" Massey; and his brothers, Maurice Oaks and Bernard Massey.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Branch (Griff) and Dedra Moore (Travis); and his grandchildren, Angie Davis (Boo), Joseph Owen (Libby), Joel Owen, Jacob Owen, Aaron Leslie, Cody Branch (Marnie), Lindsay Branch, Caleb Branch (Haven), Jonathan Hilton and Jarret Hilton. He is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren.
