It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Keaton (Leesville, Louisiana), who passed away on September 10, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivy Gilbert Johnson and Grace Mae Johnson (Jordan); her husband Everett Dennis "Butch" Keaton; her close friend George Baumgardner; her brothers, Milton Ivy, Troy Gilbert, Ivy Gilbert Jr., Michael Wayne Johnson and Carson H. Johnson Jr.; and her grandson Thomas-Jeffrey Dennis Self (TJ).
She is survived by: her children, Debby Cleghorn (Jerry) of Pineville, LA, Sherian Edwards (Donald) of Leesville, LA, David Laird (Kulpreeya) of Beaumont, TX, Elaina Keaton-Crenshaw (Aaron) of Leavenworth, KS and Roy Harris III (Rebecca) of Cocoa, FL; and her sisters, Patricia Meyer (Ricky) of Scott, LA and Debra Mayo (Billy) of Colyell, LA. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
