He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Thiels and Lois Thiels; and his sister Mary Lola Perschy. He is survived by: his wife Louise Thiels of LeCompte; his daughters, Pat Winegeart of Forest Hill, Pam Fitzgerald (Jeff) of Elmer, Anna Johnson (Brian) of LeCompte and Becky Blair (Kenny) of Alexandria; his brother Charles Thiels of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Bobby Winegeart, Aaron Winegeart, Cody Fitzgerald and Haley Fitzgerald; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Winegeart, Bella Winegeart and Blakely Winegeart.
