He is survived by: his children, Jim Carter (Pixie) of Lafayette, Lori Vanderlick of Zavalla, TX and Kristi Butler (Ricky) of Woodworth; his sister Corinne Manning (Marinus) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Daniel Vanderlick (Jami), Lauren Carter, Jacob Butler, Julie Butler and Janna Butler; his great grandchildren, Peyton McIntyre and Landry McIntyre; his grandsons, Carson McIntyre and Cameron Carter; his cousin Brett Stagg; and his friend David Ross. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
