He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Elgie Castille and Mary Mathilde Lavergne Castille; his grandparents, Gilbert Lavergne, Lena Lavergne, Joel Castille, Sr. and Lilly Mae Castille; his brother James Castille; and his niece Natalie Diamonde.

He is survived by: his daughters, Michaela F. Sylvester (Mathew) of Grand Prairie, Angel M. Castille (Craig Lafleur) of Lawtell and Kari E. Castille of Eunice; his siblings, Kenneth Castille of Lawtell, Carl Castille of Lawtell and Connie Fontenot (Vernall) of Leonville; and his grandchildren, Mattox Heard Sylvester, Isiah William Cates, Hunter Sage Lafleur and Owen Joseph Lafleur. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
