He is survived by: his daughters, Casondra Sam of Lawtell, LA and Shalynn Thomas (Isaac) of Opelousas, LA; and his siblings, Thomas Sam (Andy) of Lawtell, LA, James Sam of Lawtell, LA, Alice Brooks of Rayne, LA, Janet Leger (Paul) of Houston, TX and Zinola Sam of Houston, TX.
