It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Preston Lewis of Lawtell, Louisiana, who passed away on July 30, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia Briscoe Lewis; his parents, Louis Lewis and Louise Arceneaux; and his siblings, Mervil Lewis, Felix Lewis, Elton Lewis, Oliver Lewis, Helen Carmouche, Irma Lewis Espree, Alice Lewis Sias and Youla Mae Lewis Babineaux.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cecilia Colligan (Paul) of Lawtell, Betty Lewis of Opelousas and Gilda Thibodeaux (John) of Eunice; his grandchildren, John Austin, Jr., Joseph Austin, Paul Anthony Colligan, Brandon Louis Colligan, Marcus O'Neil Thibodeaux, Joshua Rashawn Thibodeaux and Skylar Rae Thibodeaux; and his sisters, Sadie Belle Mitchell and Mary Lou Monsamto. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Due to the recent mandate, the family respectfully requests the guests wear masks during the services.
