He was predeceased by: his father Bernard Lavergne; his wife Julia G; his mother Louise James Lavergne; and his siblings, Lester, Freeman, Henry Lavergne, Mary Rogers-Francis, Elizabeth Winfrey and Georgiana Manuel (Anna).

He is survived by: his daughters, Glenda LeCompte (Ronald) of Lake Charles, LA and Patricia Chavis (Kevin) of Richmond, TX; and his niece Emelda Colomb.
