She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Zachary Taylor Young Jr. and Vida Brinkman of Virginia; her spouse Verne K Fletcher Jr.; her children, Karen Chambliss (Steve) of Lawtell, Rhonda Fletcher Laster (Will) of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Verne K. Fletcher, III (Stacey) of Katy, Texas; her siblings, Jackie Tolson (Jack) of Opelousas and Zack Young (Betty) of Church Point; her grandchildren, Jared Chambliss (Aimee), Erica Jimenez (Jose Luis), Breyanna Harriman (Eric), Brennan Gordon, Ashley Couch (Tyler) and Kelly Fletcher; and her great grandchildren, Evangeline, Graham Chambliss, Hudson and Hayes Harriman.
Due the current COVID outbreak, Funeral services will be for family members only at Ardoin's Funeral Home, Eunice, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Acadian Baptist Center, 1202 Academy Road, Eunice, LA 70535.
