He was predeceased by: his wife Alma Jenkins; his parents, Ti Nigre Jenkins and Leola Handy; his sons, Elrick Jenkins and Martin Jenkins; his brothers, Rudolph Vallier and Joseph Handy; his children-in-law, Joseph Williams, Cornell Darby and Shirley Shakesnider; and his grandchildren, Reginald Jenkins, Joshua Jenkins, Felecia Jenkins and Lawrence Jenkins.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Jenkins (Christina) of Opelousas, LA, Daniel Jenkins of Eunice, LA, Walter Jenkins of Lawtell, LA, Patsy Lorton (Wilbert) of Lawtell, LA, Marie Clem (Chester) of Mansfield, LA, Margaret Darby (Rubenelle Bellard) and Debra Jenkins (Diane Jenkins); and his sisters, Carolyn Nixon of Austin, TX and Mary Lane of Austin, TX. He is also survived by forty-eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
