He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph, Sr. Schwertz and Maria Schwertz; and his brother Peter Schwertz. He is survived by: his wife Leslie L. Schwertz; his sons, Stephen Schwertz (Alexis), Christopher Schwertz (Anahfaye), Thomas Schwertz and Landon Schwertz; his siblings, Joseph "Joe" Schwertz, Jr., Michael Schwertz, Arthur "Art" Schwertz and Stella Matera; and his grandchildren, Riley, Leona, Parker, William Vann and Jackie.
