We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2020, Vivian Marie Cheramie Defelice (Larose, Louisiana), born in Golden Meadow, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Joseph DeFelice of Larose; her parents, Paris Cheramie and Clemence Guidry Cheramie of Golden Meadow; her siblings, Joseph Cheramie (Lorraine), Calvin "Fox" Cheramie (Mildred), William Cheramie, Lorina Cheramie (Eldon Lafont) and Mary Lou Cheramie (Leonce Danos); her brother-in-law Roy Chiasson; her parents-in-law, John and Euphrasie Guidroz DeFelice of Larose; and her brothers-in-law, Johnny DeFelice (Jennie Plaisance) and Stephen Luke DeFelice.
She is survived by: her children, Annette (John Gavigan) of Destrehan, Dane DeFelice of Houston, Texas, Ramona (Robert Long) of Newark, Delaware and Stephen DeFelice (Michele Edington) of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Sumner Long (Nancy Ranalli), Talbot Long and Kaitlyn Gavigan; her great grandchildren, Sydney Nicole Long and Francis Henry Long; her sister Norma Cheramie Chiasson; and her siblings-in-law, Joanne Cheramie, Claudette DeFelice (Jim Sanguinetti) and Claude DeFelice (Bonnie Galliano). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Catherine's Hospice in LaPlace, or honor a nurse with an act of kindness.
