With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin J. Thibodaux of Larose, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 7, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ackerson Thibodaux and Lucia L. Thibodaux; and his siblings, Ernest, Leslie, Alvin, Lloyd, Gary Thibodaux, Doris Thibodaux and Earline Matherne.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel T. Thibodaux; his children, Tracy Thibodaux, Mary T. Studdards, James P. Thibodaux (Rachel), Lisa T. Mergey (Martial) and Craig P. Thibodaux (Leslie); his grandchildren, Brandon, Travis, James Ryan, Rachel Lynn, Bella, Owen, André (Crystal), Cody, Emily, Abbie, Julia and Luke; his sister Esther Comardelle; and his godson Michael Thibodaux.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church (12911 E Main St, Larose, LA 70373). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at the Holy Rosary Cemetery (12911 E Main St, Larose, LA 70373).
