He is survived by: his sons, Lionel Lagarde Jr. (Juanita), Toby Lagarde (Tanya) and Wesley Lagarde Sr. (Mitzi); his grandchildren, Lyle Lagarde, Jesse Lagarde (Angelle), Lee Lagarde (Beth), Danielle Cheramie (Russ), Desi Lagarde, Wesley Lagarde Jr., Macy Lagarde, Jole Guidry, Joel Plaisance, Jacob Plaisance, Jeremy Lagarde and Jerrica Lagarde; his great grandchildren, Frankie, Lennie, Kate, Luke, Thomas, Ben, Charlotte, Roddy John, Jack and Brynn; his sisters, Marion Claudel (Paul Sr.), June Hermann (Paul Jr.), Nora Orgeron (Ronald) and Dora Topham (Lee); and his sister-in-law Joyce Lagarde (Ralph).
