He was predeceased by: his wife Earline Foret Cheramie; his parents, Theophile Cheramie and Louise Cheramie; his son Peter Cheramie; and his siblings, Robert Cheramie, Philip Cheramie, Loyman Cheramie, Edmon Cheramie and Tilly Punch.
He is survived by: his children, Ramona Kirby (Jimmy), David Cheramie (Christine), Rodney Cheramie (Debbie), Alice Lee and Andrew Cheramie (Virginia); and his sister Melva Lawley. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
