He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garvis McWhorter and Ruth Levert McWhorter; and his siblings, Russell McWhorter and Mary Ann McWhorter. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Anselmi McWhorter; his children, Shannon McWhorter Jakabosky (Troy) and Christopher James McWhorter; his grandchildren, Laken Jakabosky and Carly Jakabosky; and his siblings, Mike, Tom, Chuck, Don McWhorter and Susie McWhorter Matherne.
