He was predeceased by: his son Sheldon Spears; his parents, Henry, Sr. Spears and Gertrude Johnson Spears; and his sisters, Victoria Williams, Almeda Baker and Corine Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Georgia Williams Spears; his children, Sylvester Spears (Kathy), Wendell Spears, Drucilla Spears, Tina Spears (Arthur) and Mack Spears (Sherika); his sister Mary Lee Taylor (Alex); and his godson Jordan Mosley. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

“I’m very sorry to hear about the passing of my grandfather. I’ve only met him once. My mother passed away last year 3/26/2020 and her desire was to reconnect with him.
