He is survived by: his wife Charlene A. Brister Mott; his stepson Caroll Allen Duncan III; his adoptive daughter Kayla Marie Mott; his grandchildren, Destiny Leigh Duncan, Madison N. Silva, Mia P. Silva, Amanda Alicia and Daniel Seay; and his brother Richard Mott.
