She was predeceased by: her husband Nathaniel Bruce, Jr.; her granddaughter Sierra Bouzigard; her parents, McKinley Benjamin and Moser Benjamin; her siblings, Cleveland Benjamin, Roland Benjamin, Felton Banjamin, Medrick Benjamin, Theresa Burd, Elmedia Vicks and Myrtle Ratcliff; her stepdaughter Elois Westley; and her godchild Willie Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Nathaniel Bruce (Shawana), Ricky Lynn Bruce and Nonette Marie Davis (Terrence); her stepdaughter Michelle Robinson; her siblings, Heloise Benjamin Lazard, Jr. (Steve) and Susie Marie Brown; and her godchildren, Jeremy Lazard, Montel Boyd and James Smith, Jr.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be observed from 8:00 a. m. until funeral services at 10:00 a. m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S. Hollywood Road, Houma, LA, 70360. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.).
