He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Clouatre Chauvin; his parents, Gussie Bourque Chauvin and William Joseph Chauvin, Sr.; and his sister Betty Chauvin. He is survived by: his children, Tom Chauvin, Kenny Chauvin, Glenn Chauvin (Vanessa) and Donna Minchey (Terry); his grandchildren, Bridgett Chauvin, Nicole Weber (Brandon), Andy Chauvin, Jamie Chauvin, Matthew Chauvin, Olivia Mang, Jonathan Cavell (Tiffany) and David Cavell; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kayla, Calie, Dylan, Connor, Noah and George; and his siblings, Gary Chauvin (Herminie), Doris Brignac (Francis), Wilbert Chauvin, Alfred Chauvin (Mildred), Daisy Clouatre (Andrew) and Bernice Canatella (Nick). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
