He was predeceased by: his daughter Sonia Evans Babin; his parents, Johnnie Purvis Evans and Vernon Evans; and his siblings, Carroll Evans, Curtis Evans and Sarah Baudoin.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa LeBlanc Evans; his children, Tina Waguespack (Tim), Kelly Evans, Stacey Lynn Evans, Robert Evans (Terrilyn) and Thomas R. Evans (Yulia); and his brothers, Billy Evans and Perry Evans. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
