It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Louise Sanders of Laplace, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Mae Dennis Leon and Norris Grimes, Sr.; her husband Michael Dwight Sanders, Sr.; her sister Denise Grimes; and her granddaughter Angel Marie Bowden.
She is survived by: her children, Nia Sanders Bowden (Kenneth) and Michael Dwight Sanders, Jr.; her siblings, Peggy Flowers (Charles), Lanette Roberson (Andrew), Glory Grimes, Ronald Keller (Marilyn), Kevin Leon, Dwayne Leon, Norris Grimes, Jr. and Jasylnn Guidry (Bryan); her grandchildren, Kenneth Bowden, Jr., Kameron Bowden, Kennedi Bowden and K'Lyn Bowden; and her aunts, Agnes Grimes Watson and Willie Mae Grimes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
