It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Lee Standberry of Laplace, Louisiana, who passed away on January 29, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Willard H. Standberry; her parents, Albert J. Brumfield and Myrtis Brumfield; her grandparents, Lela Brumfield and Julius Magee; her son-in-law Troy V. Allen Sr.; her sister Olivette Magee; her uncles, James Brumfield and Peter Brumfield; her niece D'Ebony Hills; and her nephew Huey Gordon Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Nikita L. Allen and Yolanda Brown; her grandchildren, Troy Jr., Nia, Nya and Ashley Allen; her stepgrandson Austin Brown; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ace and Akio Brown; her siblings, Gloria Gordon, Ora Hills and Leonard Brumfield Sr.; her brother-in-law Otis Tuck; her godson Barry E. Jones; and her great-aunt Evangelist Eloise Neal. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, family, and friends.
