He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Joseph Songy (Kim); his parents, Luc Songy and Rosine Waguespack Songy; and his siblings, Luc Songy, Marie Kroll, Guy Songy, Etienne Songy, Jeanne Robert, Bert Songy, Maude Smothers, Ruffin Songy and Katherine Homer.

He is survived by: his wife Una Songy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
