He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lee Mamou; his father Austin Mamou Sr.; his nephew O'Bryan Parker; his aunts and uncles, Louis, Sr., Dalton, Ashby, Andrew, Steven Mamou, Ricky, Arthur, Landis Sassau, Jr., Eula McKnight, Inez Jones, Shirley Mae Calais, Vertie Mae Landry and Mary Davis; and his grandparents, Rose, Landis Sassau, Arceneaux and Amelia Bonnet Mamou.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel Mamou (Kristen), Grace Mamou (Gregory Sanders), Immanuel Mamou (Daesha), Heaven Mamou (Versell Thompson), Joseph Mamou (Kacie), LaDana Lindon (Felton) and Thaddeus Carnell Benoit. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and five God-children.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Wine Christian Fellowship (1929 W Airline Hwy, Laplace, LA 70068). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the St. John Memorial Gardens (2205 W Airline Hwy, Laplace, LA 70068).
