It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jena Leslie Chenier in Laplace, Louisiana, born in Newport, Arkansas, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Leslie and Joseph Leslie; her sister-in-law Joyce Murry; her mother-in-law Amy "Marie" Clement; and her close friend Nancy.
She is survived by: her spouse Rickie Chenier; her sons, Brandon (Vivian) and Billy Cook (Jenny); her pet Buster; her grandchildren, Kyle, Alec, Vickey, Kristin, Hayden, Abigail, Gabrielle and Jacob; her siblings, Carolyn Jouty (Charles) and Joseph Leslie; and her sisters-in-law, Geri Weber, Barbara Bourgeois and Pam.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (529 W 5th St, Laplace, LA 70068). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
