He was predeceased by: his son Renaldian Eugene Banks; his parents, William "Bill" Banks and Rosemary McGee Banks; his grandparents, Emma Jeanne McGee Creecy, Eugene McGee, Alcide Creecy, Mahalia and Willie Banks; his brothers, Walter, William Chatman and Alexander Hardy Sr.; his aunts and uncles, Harriet, Matthew Banks, Douglas Creecy, Elbrae and Norman Alexander; and his cousin Tyrone Creecy Jr..

He is survived by: his former wife Audrey Williams; his siblings, Emma Jeanne Banks-Baloney of Laplace, LA, Gloria Chatman of New Orleans, LA, JoAnn Kirkland of Laplace, LA and Kenneth Alexander of New Orleans, LA; his uncle Tyrone Creecy (LaShant) of Laplace, LA; his godparents, Barbara Jean Creecy and Branch King; his friends, Charles Lennix and Carl Michael Banks; his nephew Richard Hardy (Mannie); his grandchild Chakita Lee (Bird); and his niece Yvette B. Perrilloux. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
