She is survived by: her children, Karen Hanson, Connie Chachere, John C. Sonnier, Jr. and Scott Sonnier; her grandchildren, Kristopher Hanson (Christie), Katie Smith, Dawn Johnson, Dustin Johnson (Ashley), John Sonnier III (Morgan) and Hudson Sonnier; her great grandchildren, Trevor Scott Smith, Kristopher Blake Hanson, Gracie Lizabeth Hanson, Khloe Beth Smith, Ivy Caroline Johnson and Libbye Belle Sonnier; and her former husband John Conrad Sonnier, Sr..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery (4833 LA-182, Opelousas, LA 70570).
