She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Waits, Sr.; her parents, Adeline Kinler Barbier and Misael Barbier, Sr.; and her siblings, Misael Barbier, Jr. and Janet "Susie" Barbier Hidalgo.
She is survived by: her children, Angela Ledo (Edward), Natalie Guidry (Troy) and Joe Waits, Jr. (Tammy); her grandchildren, Jessica Vicknair, Nancy Gaspard, Troy Guidry, Jr., Taylor Guidry, Travis Guidry, Jodie Waits, Blake Ledo, Ian Ledo, Trevor Ledo, Genna Guidry, Tanner McDonald, Thomas Waits and Tristen Guidry; and her brother Vernon Barbier. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lord Catholic Church (1900 Greenwood Dr, Laplace, LA 70068). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
