He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Irean Wilbanks McGill and James Norton McGill; and his siblings, James Marvin McGill, Mary Evelyn Burrows and Neva Sue Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Paulette Sutton McGill. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
