He was predeceased by: his wife Maisie Abadie; his son Mark Abadie; his parents, Amedee Alexander Abadie and Ada Waguespack Abadie; and his siblings, Antoinette Roussel (Albin), Maurice Abadie (Lesiel), Ruth Walter (John), Vernon Abadie, Rita Camallo (Mike), Vivian Huber (Tom), Leo Abadie (Lois), Mabel Garland (Jimmy), Gerard Abadie (Ferol), Harold Abadie (Ann), Lyman Abadie and Conrad Abadie.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Abadie, Gail Surla (Dio), Lisa Triche (Randy), Allison Duhe (Dennis) and Amy Whitehead (Jerry); his grandchildren, Nicole Strauss, Erin Autin (Ben), Sarah Triche, Brandon Duhe and Zachary Surla; and his great grandchild Henry Autin.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St Joan of Arc Catholic Church (529 W 5th St, Laplace, LA 70068-3941). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made for Masses to be celebrated in his memory.
