She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Carter and Lucy Carter; her husband Willie Emerson; her daughter Dianna; her siblings, Jerry Carter, Leam Carter Dent, Artelia Carter, Rosie Edgar Carter of Georgia, Edna Carter Nelson and Willie Teen Carter; and her granddaughter Destiny Wells.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Campbell (Dennis) of Fort Wayne, IN, Terry Carter (Rosie) of Dallas, TX, Freddie Carter (Gloria) of Lake Providence, LA and Dexter Burns. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
